I bought a pretty stapler
in the color we often call
sky blue though when you
think about it the sky is so
rarely quite this color the
sky generally is a bit darker
and deeper a bit denser this
shade is both a bit paler and
a whole lot flatter than the
large majority of skies I’ve
seen I’ve heard people refer
to this shade as baby blue or
powder blue but both those
hues in my view are pastels
lighter and mixed with more
white this bright clear blue is
the color the stone turquoise
often is and yet when we say
turquoise the color we mean
something much more green
in the end I find I’m compelled
to fall back on corporate cliché
and call it tiffany blue
there is no alternative
