Open Studio October and November Progress Report: The Shop!

It happened! Over Thanksgiving weekend -- Black Friday, to be exact -- I opened the Open Studio retail shop. It was a soft open, to get things up and running, but this coming weekend, on Sunday 12/9, we're having a Grand Opening party from noon - 5pm and if you're local you should come by: 780 Sutter Street. Below you will find the whole visual story of setting up the store and how it looks today -- from painting the vintage furniture I pulled out of my mom's garage and merchandising the shelves, to putting polka dots on the wall (Bill's brilliant idea) and making a front window display. And at the very bottom of this post you'll find the business cards designed for me by the inimitable Brooke Johnson -- her logo design for the shop is also all over the window, in the invite just below, and on the website, and it is everything I wanted and more. There's lots in the store from local artists and makers and I'll call out a few of those below as we go. Let's do it!

Paint rounds by Leah Rosenberg

Necklaces by Zelma Rose and Freund Things (you'll see more of these below)

Far left: art prints by Lisa Congdon

bottom shelf: hand painted notebooks by e. bond

soap by Wary Meyers
