Overnight the excellent IT folks of Chronicle Books kindly replaced my computer. As always happens when that occurs, I am stumbling about in the virtual world of my screen like a clumsy three-toed sloth. The fact that I managed to locate and post here a vaguely computer-and-book-publishing related New Yorker cartoon (by P.C. Vey) should count as a major victory.
