The Next Installment in the Perpetual Poem Story About the Spring of 2006

There’s been this phenomenon lately

of when I’m walking
it raining
just enough barely to notice
but not quite enough to bother about

A drop here
a drop there
drop drop
drop

No point really
in putting up an umbrella
yet at least half the people
on the street do

the rest of us don’t
and we get
dripped and dropped on
as a result
