Powell's Books

Really, I could have gone all the way to Portland just to visit the legendary Powell's bookstore, and it would have been well worth it. Here's what we bought (all for about $60! amazing!):

For Bill: Five used seafaring novels, and the journals of Lewis and Clarke
For Mabel: Are You Awake by Sophie Blackwell (fabulous, and also pictured below) and The Foot Book by Dr. Seuss
For me: The Tiny Book of Tiny Stories by Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Family Happiness by Laurie Colwin, and A Boy of Good Breeding by Miriam Toews

I also did a bit of obligatory spotting of various art books and products from my own employer. Always so gratifying to see our stuff prominently displayed--

My book, The Conductor, at far left, has been crossing over into children's sections, which is rad.

Botanicals stationery collection, on the middle shelf.

Rebus by James Jean.

Little Book of Screen Printing and Silhouette Art Kit.

Practice Makes Perfect: Sketching and Drawing.
