How much does one love the new Valentino ads shot by Inez & Vinoodh? Heaps.
I adore the clothes themselves, but perhaps even more am digging all the Old Master art referencing that's going on here.
The lighting is of course straight out of Caravaggio.
But the poses,
and most especially the gaze
are pure Vermeer.
Indeed, even the clothes themselves seem to owe something to ye olde Holland.
