So, silly me, it turns out I was entirely wrong to bitch
the other day about there being no good source online for images from the big MOMA de Kooning show I saw last week. In fact, MOMA themselves have put up
a very excellent digital resource for the show, including all the paintings in it, among other interesting things. Which allows me to show you these four utterly amazing canvases. They are his abstract landscapes from the late 50s and early 60s and, if memory serves, were all hung together on a single wall at the show. The better to knock your socks off.
