Opera at the Ball Park
We went the other weekend to go see the live simulcast of The Marriage of Figaro beamed straight from the opera house to the ball park. This is a thing they do once a year, and it's free, and if you're willing to wait in a long line you can sit right on the grass of the field on your picnic blanket, eating garlic fries and drinking beer and listing to the music in the beautiful light and air of a San Francisco summer twilight. Pretty nice! The thing didn't start until after Mabel's bedtime so we only stayed for the first act, but great fun was had by all.
